NASTYNASTY The Reef
Our man Sluga twittered this one. Nasty Nasty is California native Jasper Reeder. The Reef starts as a Rhythm-ish track, slow and then moves into a a rave-ish blend of wobbling bass, stuttering beats, epic synths, Arcade fires and more of that 8 bit shit. Massiv! Haterade is more abstract and linear at the same time, with more of a song structure. The cut-off restrained sounds make it sharp and pushy. And then we hear why Sluga dropped this release on twitter. His remix of The Reef. Wow. He structures the track in another way, gives it a nagging grimy push exaggerates sounds makes it more mad and freaky! It was also Sluga’s mix at Starkey.
