TRACK OF THE WEEK 29

And we're back with another awesome TRACK OF THE WEEK. For those of you that don't know; 1 Track every week, custom tailored gif animations full of awesome and a bit of text. This week I've selected a track by Monky, titled French Vanilla What he sent me sounded like the typical grime beat at first. Short stabs of snares and claps in a small timespan, steadily flowing kicks and some bass. But later on in the track his signature style synths kick in and it transform the whole into some sort of crazy spacerock/grime crossover. The synths have this retro quality, and also a folk-ish feel. I've totally forgotten what the instrument is called but it sounds like that one instrument a whole lot. Together with the spacey bleeps they give the whole tune a really original feel. And if you combine all of this with the second synth line that sounds like early synthrock stuff you've got the perfect package.
