Subeena‘s Opit records drops the LP with Milyoo, who’s amazing debut on the label in 2010 I discovered much later through last summers digital release Colours / Games also on Opit.
This LP is a great mix of contemporary electronics. It’s diversity in sound and the layering is comparable with adventurous stuff in the Tri-Angle corner. It moves gently between house and techno and it’s more challenging sub genres. It has some amazing funky-ness in it without falling into the obvious traps, it’s a bit housy but not clubby, dubtechno but no minimal boring repetition.
Personal favorites are Face to Face with it’s tempo’s, voice treats, Fieldwork with it’s rave echo. Best one is Get some. Out in a week or so!
