After a short summer stop Myor is back with a new slice of black mass plastic called Night Bulbs Ep, courtesy of Light Club. Four neon glow tunes skweeezed onto a 45rpm seven inch. As a special treat we’re giving away a free remix by Miramichi. Review, snippets and download of the remix after the jump…The ep opens with the aptly titled “Scirocco Night Drive”, a breezy, electro influenced, synth driven little bastard, perfectly suited for midnite highway cruises in a 1985 Volkswagen Scirocco. “Sweet” shows us just how simple life can be: two melodies, a hella standard beat and an ear to ear grin on your face equals 2 minutes of sheer, almost childlike happiness. The B-side opens with what I reckon to be the freakiest tune to have surfaced within Skweee territories thus far: “Ghost”. It’s like an old black & white horror movie digitalised into a three minute piece of wonky goth. “Nick Nolte” finishes the story in a nice light weight manner: 21st century P-Funk. The soon-to-be-released digital version will contain four remixes, one of each tune, by the likes of Grimace, Boss Kite, VC and Miramichi, the latter of which can be downloaded here for free. Distribution is taken care of by Rubadub. LIGHT CLUB PREVIEW SNIPPETS (MYOR 783) by cocobrycebeats
