Remember Vex'd (Jamie 'Vex'd' Teasdale and Roly Porter) releases on Planet Mu from the early days of dubstep. All are landmarks: Smart Bomb and Bombardment of Saturn come in mind both 2005 and still impressive tracks and Degenerate is still one of the best long players in the field.
In System Travel Jamie walks the path we know from people like Joker, Slugabed, Hudmo, Zomby mixing offbeat hip-hop, breakbeat and dubstep but also feel the echo of Flying lotus. It feels warm, comfortable.
Listening to ‘Radiant Industry’ and ‘Saturn's Reply’ it all becomes more down pitched breakbeat with monstrous choirs soundtrack synths but with a right amount of funkyness (???!!!) and this massiv deep warm dubstep bass sliding up your leg.
This is another essential one from the guy and the cover is there to prove it.
