You know Perc I guess: Techno from another planet with a productivity in a constant quality, he also runs Perc Trax.  You know Ekoplekz: Your analog high priest.
Perc Trax reaches a milestone with its 50th vinyl release and in typical Perc Trax style it treats us on some brilliance.
The combination of the tactility and richness of Ekoplekz his sound control combined with the awereness of the thickness of Perc his techno push, is amazingly strong and it feels like a worn warm coat. Somehow the presence of Perc pushes Ekoplekz to new heights.
Ekoplatz is the opener and feels like a 90ies dubtechno track from then Berlin underground. Rollin thunder which reminds us that tekno is never far a way. Basic Channel importance combined with a post punk guts feel.
Narco Samba feels like some 80ies pre techno EBM ish withered post apocalyptic madness. This is so good. And then we suddenly meet the legendary Richard H. Kirk (of Cabaret Voltaire) as a remixer. His rhythm treat is stunningly simple. The echoes are right on the spot. Superb.
Xylem Teardrops is the closing track and reads like a book from the early WARP and Spiral Tribe era. The built up, the noise, the sharpness, the space, the spiral coil ….. I’m stunned. I’m sucked into this. No way out…. Must have! Need this!
