BLACK ATLASS – The Black Atlass EP

Just clicking form one to the other brought me to this stunning release by the 17-year-old producer/musician Alex Fleming aka Black Atlass. Mesmerized by the sound of his music I’m stuck somewhere between drone, witch house, emo-tronics and electronics. OK I shouldn’t use the W word in your presence but this touches the sounds from Tri-angle without a doubt.
His voice feels like an incantation and the sampled noises together with the pushing beat catch you and suck you into the Black Atlass. On Black Dog we hear the needed next level, the country sampled contra flow is super. The duet of Black Atlass and sampled voice is strikingly intimate.
